Who is it for? +
Solo freelancers who've outgrown spreadsheets and Notion. Creators juggling multiple clients. Small studios of 2–10 people who want agency-level organization without the agency overhead.
Who is it not for? +
If you freelance for fun with one client a year, LancerSpace is probably overkill. If you're a 50-person agency that needs deep custom integrations, we're not there yet either. We're the sweet spot in between.
How is it different from [X tool]? +
Most freelance tools pick one job — invoices, proposals, project management. LancerSpace does all of them, and they actually talk to each other. Win a proposal, turn it into a project in one click. Close the project, turn it into an invoice in one click. One dataset, not five.
Getting started
How long does setup take? +
About 15 minutes. Add your first client, create a project, send an invoice. That's the full loop. You can fancy it up later with branding, templates, and automations.
Can I import my existing clients and projects? +
Yes. Bring in clients, projects, and invoices from a CSV export. Coming from Notion, Trello, or a spreadsheet? We'll help you migrate by hand — just reply to your welcome email.
Do I need a credit card to try it? +
No. Start your 14-day free trial with just an email. Add a card only if you decide to keep LancerSpace after the trial.
What happens at the end of the trial? +
Nothing dramatic. If you pick a plan, you keep going. If you don't, your account goes read-only and we hold your data for 30 days in case you come back. We never bill you without your say-so.
Pricing
How much does it cost? +
Paid annually: Solo $9/mo, Studio $19/mo, Agency $39/mo, Unlimited $79/mo. Monthly billing is a bit higher. Annual saves you roughly 25% — about two months free each year.
Can I switch plans later? +
Anytime. Upgrade the day you hire your first teammate, downgrade if you go solo again. Changes are prorated and take effect right away.
Do you offer refunds? +
If you're unhappy in your first 30 days on a paid plan, reply to any email from us and we'll refund you. No forms, no script.
Any discounts? +
50% off the first year for freelancers in their first year of business and for registered non-profits. Email us with a quick note and we'll sort it out.
Working with clients
Can my clients log in? +
Yes. Each client gets a portal where they can see projects, approve proposals, pay invoices, and open support tickets. They see only what you want them to see — nothing more.
What payment methods can I accept? +
PayPal, Stripe, and Paytm are all built in. You can also mark invoices as paid manually for cash, wire transfers, or anything else.
Can I send recurring invoices? +
Yes, on the Studio plan and up. Set the schedule once, LancerSpace sends the invoice on time every time. Use it for retainers, subscriptions, or any regular billing.
Team & security
Can I invite teammates? +
Yes, on Studio (up to 10) and Agency (unlimited). Set roles and permissions so each teammate sees only what they need.
Where is my data stored? +
On secure infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We run daily automated backups so if something goes sideways, we can put it back.
Can I export my data? +
Always. Export clients, projects, invoices, and more as CSV or JSON anytime. Your data is your data — we just hold it for you.
